After college I worked as an auditor for the State of Arkansas. In 1973, I went to work for the Federal Government. I held several different jobs in my 35 years with the Social Security Administration. In 1977 we transferred to the North Dallas area. I retired from SSA in 2008 as the SSA, Regional Director, Quality Assurance for the Dallas region.

My wife and I enjoyed many things: family; friends; travel; and especially our child and two grandsons. My wife, Brenda passed away last year due to complications after heart surgery. I continue to spend a good deal of time in volunteer service to my Church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton's in Plano, Tx. I also slip away for an occasional trip or stay at our lake house in East Texas where I enjoy fishing and playing with the kids. God has blessed me with a wonderful family.

School Story:

In the 3rd grade I was in love with Myra Franz. I remember one time I dipped the ends of her long hair in my ink well/bottle - the nun called my mom and I really got in trouble. Also Whit Hall (graduated from No Little High School and was a classmate of my wife's) and I got in a pencil fight and I still have an image of the lead in my left palm - this was either the 2nd or 3rd grade at St. Pat's. There were lots of wonderful memories but the one that sticks out was when Father Tribou paddled about 5 of us for "doing bad"- wow I will never forget that because the paddling was conducted in front of the entire CHS assembly! It only seems like yesterday doesn't it, Carl
